After our day of wine tasting and food pairing and more wine tasting, we are now at Syrah Bistro. This is another gem from Marcy Smothers..she has great taste.
The Bistro is vibrant and cozy at the same time. The chef is Josh Silvers who focuses on season and sustainable produce. The menu changes monthly depending on what is in season and available.
Charlie and Gil had the main entrees. Gil had the Grilled Pork Tenderloin and Charlie had the Pan Roasted Liberty Farms Duck Breast. Karen and I shared several items from the small plate menu. Everything was so fresh and vibrant and the presentation is lovely.
Here are a few of the items from dinner.
Roasted Beets w/smashed avocados, pistachios, goat cheese and sherry vinaigrette
Pork Belly w/beans,corn and a foam
Foie Gras with roasted peaches
Frommage Trio, Pt. Reyes Blue, Mt. Tam, and another one I can't remember -all served with their house made crackers, quince gelee, honey and almonds
Chocolate, rich gooey with a glass of something like Creme Anglaise
Everything like I said was delicious and a perfect end to our day. We will definitely be back when in the area.
