BUONARROTI RISTORANTE

Tonight we decided to try the new Buonarroti Ristorante with our friends Patricia and Manuel. I'd read some good things about it from the blog by Sac Foodies. We were looking for something different from our usual haunts. It is where Touch of Class used to be. It's a warm looking space with murals of Venice. The weird touch was the sconces lining one wall.. great for Halloween but kind of scary looking

We started with the Calamari Fritte (of course, and I don't know if Manuel and Patricia actually like Calamari but we always order it) It was good, very light crispy coating and cooked just right.
Charlie had a Caesar which looked average and Patricia had the Spinach which was very pretty with orange segments and dried cranberries.
I had the Linguine and clams in a white wine and garlic sauce. It was very good. Lots of garlic! Charlie and Manuel had the Veal Marsala.

A pretty small portion that came with either potatoes or risotto and fresh vegetable..tonight asparagus. I had a bite and I thought it just OK. We were comparing it to the Veal Marsala that he loved at Gianni's.. not even close.
Patricia had the Scampi Pomadoro which looked really good.

Desert was the Raspberry Bombe for Patricia, Manuel and I. Charlie had the Tiramisu which was just to mushy. It tasted grainy.
