FOOD ON THE CHEAP

Here are a couple of dishes for fast cheap eats. The first one is my husbands favorite thing if there are left over spaghetti noodles.. Just melt some butter-about 1-2 Tbs in a frying pan. Season the noodles with Season Salt, pepper, garlic powder.. to taste. Saute the noodles in the butter until heated through and a little crisp. Plate and then... put some Ketchup on it. Yup Ketchup to taste. As weird as it sounds it really tastes good! What could be more inexpensive and good. Here is a picture of the noodles.. didn't think you needed to see the ketchup.

Another great cheap good recipe is found in the "Blue Box" of Mac and Cheese. One box of Mac and Cheese, 1/2-1lb ground beef, small jar spaghetti sauce. Cook the macaroni as directed on the box. Brown the ground beef, add the spaghetti sauce and the cheese packet, mix to combine. Add the macaroni and mix to coat.. Enjoy. If you don't want to use the ground beef you can omit that or you can substitute ground chicken. What more can you ask for, macaroni, meat and all the seasonings. A friend used to make this for his kids when money got tight. It tastes good and is a great comfort food.

I do the same with leftover spaghetti, except I also add a few eggs when frying the noodles. Ketchup is a must!
