2nd ANNUAL KIDS CULINARY CONVENTION

I met Karla Lacey- Minor today at East Bay Supply. Her "kids" had a station there for tasting some of their food.
She was telling me about the Kids Culinary Convention-Sacramento being held September 20 from 9-3:00. It will be held at the Antioch Progressive Life Center, South Sacramento.
The event is open to all children ages 10-15 who as she puts it, "likes to eat,cook or play with there food", no experience is necessary.
It will be a full day of food and cooking with hands on classes. Some of the dishes they will be making will be Pizza,pasta,sushi , grilling and baking all from scratch. Knife safety, nutrition, dining etiquette and more.
All the sessions will be taught by top chefs and culinary instructors.
This years "Iron Chef" competition will be judged by the producer of Iron Chef onTheFood Network and Sunset Magazine food editor.
Tickets are $65.00 per person, includes classes, lunch, buffet reception and lots of other good stuff.
