SWEET AND SOUR CHICKEN WINGS

2 pkg chicken wings
garlic salt
pepper
cornstarch/flour
(mixed half and half)
1-2 eggs

Sauce
1 C sugar
1/2 C vinegar
1/4 C water
3TBS ketchup
1tsp soy sauce
pinch of salt

Sprinkle chicken wings with garlic salt and pepper. Dip wings in egg and flour as you would for fried chicken. Deep fry until golden brown.
While chicken is frying, make the sauce.
Mix all the ingredients and heat until the sugar melts. I usually double the sauce since everyone likes lots of it.
After all the chicken is browned (it doesn't have to be cooked through) place in a baking pan and pour the sauce over the chicken. Place into a 350 degree oven for 20 min. then turn the chicken over and cook another 20 min. Plate chicken and pour off any fat/oil in the baking pan and scrape the left over sauce over the chicken.
