I'm back after a week in San Diego helping out with the new grand baby and making sure the older granddaughter wasn't feeling left out. My son-in-law made T a special cake to make sure she knew she was still loved and part of the family. Both Grandma's stayed for a week taking turns cooking and carrying the baby. The baby will be in for a shock now that we've left.. she won't be carried 24/7 any more. There were a couple of bouts of "They have Lana now, they don't want me any more... I'm going home with you Grandma" from T when things didn't go her way.
I'm resting now that I'm home.. I spent the week cooking like I said but also took T shopping a couple of times, took her and friends to Dave and Buster's for a day of lunch and playing in the arcade. We had another baby shower to attend and just kind of hung out, had a lot of visitors and just had a really good time. Even though they don't live that far away it seems we don't get to see each other as much as we'd like. So just having a week to spend together was wonderful.
We will be back again next month for T's 10th birthday and it will be interesting to see the changes in the baby. Plus I get to go to the farmer's market again.
