MIZU

Last night we went with friends to Mizu in Roseville. It is a Japanese-Chinese buffet. The crowd there was huge! We were 10th on the new list. I think each list was 40 people long. The turn over rate is fairly quick for all the people we waited about half an hour. The buffet consists of salads, cold sea food, sushi- both rolls and nigiri, sashimi, a few dim sum selections, hot sea food, a selection of Chinese foods..plus rice, soups and condiments. Things were pretty tasty, I particularly liked the clams in black bean sauce and the teriyaki salmon. Charlie liked the Chinese style oysters. They even had unagi (eel) which is a pretty expensive item. Jeff ate his weight in Maguro(tuna) . Kathrine and I tried a little of everything. Desert was the usual fruits and those weird cakes but they did have cream puffs(the kind Costco carries) plus an ice cream bar and a chocolate fountain with little squares of rice crispy treats and marshmallows.
Not a bad value for $15.95 per person plus beverages.
