MORTON'S OF CHICAGO

We went to Morton's tonight hoping to celebrate Manuel passing his backflow certification test, but it was not to be, maybe next month.
Morton is one of the first steak houses to come into Sacramento. They start by giving you a visual presentation of the main menu.. the steaks. Charlie and I started with the Blue Pt. Oysters on the half shell. Charlie and Patricia both had the Morton's salad, lettuce with chopped egg, anchovies and a blue cheese salad dressing. It sounds rather pedestrian, but it really is very good. I had the 3lb. lobster, and potato skins. Charlie had a raw NY steak, Manuel and Patricia each had a bone in rib eye steak. There was also Asparagus and wild mushrooms. All the steaks are huge as are the sides. We also had desert(of course) Patricia,Manuel, and I had the Key Lime Pie and Charlie had the fresh raspberries with ice cream. Dinner was very good, all the steaks are Prime beef. Though I'm getting a bit tired of steak houses.. maybe next time Manuel takes his test and hopefully passes we'll do French or something... yeah right. Charlie is a steak fiend. Also lots of doggie bags to take home.

OMG...sounds so good. I just love raw oysters. Dave hates em..so I only have em when we dine out. Maybe I should have a big platter at Thanksgiving. I can shuck em.

I am so proud that you have stayed with the happiest moment thingee. I best get with it, eh?
