Lobster Dinner

Sue's cousins were here from Denver so she had a dinner for them. Since they all love Lobster, except one that is what she had. Luckily for me, she invited me for dinner. Her aunt bought a lobster for each of us, they were 11/2lbs to 2lbs a piece. One of the cousins doesn't like lobster so she got a Porterhouse steak. For the Lobsters we added to the well salted water, halved lemons, a head of garlic, and a bag of Old Bay Seasoning. When the water came to a boil we added the Lobster, potatoes(small white creamers or little Yukon Gold) whole boiling onions.

Once the water came back up to a boil we cooked the Lobster for 15 min. before we added Andouile and Garlic sausages and corn on the cob. This was all cooked for another 15 min. Everything was cooked perfectly. Along with the Lobster boil we had Garlic Bread, Salad, and of course drawn butter.

The Steak was cooked perfectly for her cousin who doesn't eat Lobster.. Medium well.

what an interactive dinner.. no calories here, with all the work you had to do to de-shell the lobster, you worked off all calories... I wish.
It was a fun night with lots of good food and good friends and relatives.
Of course there was desert... see next post.

Wowza! That sounds like a great meal. I would've thought the lobster would be overcooked after 30 minutes but...who knew?
