Life is good

My granddaughter went home last night. Back to San Diego... she flies by herself so I had to stay until her flight left the ground. While I was waiting I went to the bar right next to her gate. I figured since I had to wait until her flight took off, I'd have a beer until that time. Now, I don't know if this is airport policy or I was just having a good day, but I got carded!!!! Wow, let me tell you at my age that's got to be the best compliment ever. When the waitress asked for my ID I said sure.. and couldn't get it out fast enough. I think she thought I was crazy. I told her she made my day. I started to look around to see if she carded anyone else.. I don't think so.
I have to say, when you receive things from AARP and begin to qualify for Sr. discounts that is a biggie. I think that not only made my day, it made my month and probably the rest of the year!
