Cheesecake Factory

OK.. I know this isn't haute cuisine but it's damn good.

Cheesecake Factory has a huge menu of appetizers, burgers, salads, main entrees, pastas and on and on.
We always go for the Spicy Ahi Tuna Roll. Fresh Raw Ahi Tuna Seasoned with Green Onions, Spicy Soy Sauce, Ginger & Garlic Wrapped in Nori and Flash Fried Tempura Style.
It is so-o good! The Ahi is rolled in Nori (seaweed), battered and fried. This cooks the Ahi a bit, it is then drizzled with a mayo sauce and has a dipping sauce of the ginger and garlic. It sits on a bed of fried cellophane noodles. Other hits are the Ahi Carpaccio, and the Thai lettuce wrap. This is a huge appetizer that could be an entree. It consists of, Satay Chicken Strips, Carrots, Bean Sprouts, Coconut Curry Noodles and Lettuce Leaves with Three Delicious Spicy Thai Sauces — Peanut, Sweet Red Chili and Tamarind-Cashew. It is a fun dish to make your own salad rolls.

I am a hamburger fanatic. I love this Burger! It is huge, great for dinner then breakfast and lunch. The Tons of fun Burger- Double Patties, Double Cheese, Triple Sesame-Seed Bun with Lettuce, Tomato, Red Onion, Pickles and Secret Sauce.Served with Fries. Yeah Yeah, a heart attach on a plate.. but what a great way to go! The other burger that is good is the Ranch House Burger-Pieces of Steak, Sauteed Mushrooms and Onions, Crisp Bacon and Cheddar Cheese on Top of Our Classic Burger. Served with Fries. They also have a Kobe Beef burger but the Kobe Beef always gets lost on the condiments.
Sue had the Shrimp with Angel Hair...
Large Shrimp Sauteed with Herbs, Lemon and Garlic. Combined with Angel Hair Pasta, Fresh Tomato and Fresh Basil. She said it was good but every time she has it, it's made a little different. The other good pasta is the Bistro Shrimp Pasta..
Crispy Battered Shrimp, Fresh Mushrooms, Fresh Tomato and Arugula Tossed with Spaghettini and a Delicious Basil-Garlic-Lemon Cream Sauce.

CUBAN SANDWICH Slow-Roasted Pork, Ham, Swiss Cheese, Pickles and Mustard on a Grilled and Pressed Cuban-Style Roll. Served with French Fries.

THE INCREDIBLE GRILLED EGGPLANT SANDWICH Grilled Japanese Eggplant, Roasted Red Peppers, Red Onion, Melted Mozzarella and Garlic Aiole on Our Toasted Bun. Served with Fries.

These are a couple of other things I've tried that have been very good.

They have a full bar and a couple of good beers on tap. Lots of mixed drinks and of course non alcoholic ones too.
Of course who could leave with out CHEESECAKE. They have the most wonderful cheesecakes, every imaginable kind. I got (I always get it to go) the special of the night..something about white chocolate, macadamia nuts,caramel.. I haven't even eaten any of it yet.. maybe in a while. You can bet ALL the cheesecakes there are scrumptious.. I don't think there is one there that I haven't liked. I think my favorite is the Dulce de Leche caramel cheesecake..or maybe the Godiva chocolate or.... They also have cakes and other non cheesecake deserts that are very good.
Here is a tip.. sit in the bar area- they don't take reservations but will give you one of those vibrating things.... It is best to go at the end of the month, later in the evening. Go into the bar area and see if there are any tables (the high round ones) available or if you see anyone with "to go bags" or paying the tab, just kind of skulk around the table till they leave and grab the table... so if you see see someone standing behind you at one of the bar tables kind of trying to hurry you along, it will probably be me...
A fun place.. for casual dining or just a great desert. They have huge portions so meals and deserts are easily split. I don't know if they charge a split plate charge.

I used to work at the Cheesecake Factory, and I still think the Tons-o-fun is the best burger I've ever eaten. I like mine with no mid-bun. I couldn't even tell you how many of those I've put away.
