Ruth's Chris

Sue, Chris and I finally got together this evening for Christmas dinner. Since we are watching our budgets we decided not to exchange gifts. We did have dinner however at Ruth's Chris. They have 2 great specials.. for $39.00 they have 3 course dinner.. Salad is a selection of Cesar, the Steakhouse salad or the Gumbo. Entrees are Fillet and Shrimp, fresh catch of the day, Barbecue Shrimp, or stuffed Chicken breast, choice of one side, broccoli, creamed spinach, mushrooms, 1/2 broiled tomato or mashed potato, desert is the Symphony duo.. chocolate mouse in a chocolate cup and fresh berries in a sweet cream sauce. The other special is a 3 course dinner for $49.00
The only difference in this is that your choice of entrees are Fillet, Rib eye, Lobster tail, and I think a surf and turf. Not a bad deal considering a normal Rib eye steak is about 39.00 all by its self. They are also having a Valentines special 2 dinners for $99.00. I'm not sure what is on the menu but that seems a good deal also. Our server said the $39.00 and 49.00 special will probably be on the menu for quite a while with the way the economy is. So.. you can have great dinner for not a lot of money.

RUTH'S CHRIS STEAK HOUSE

For a limited time only (I don't know when this ends) $89.00 for dinner for 2. Sunday thru Thursday. Tomorrow night we are going to Ruth's Chris for dinner to try out the special. I had them fax me the special menu. First Course: choice of one per guest: Caesar Salad, Steak House Salad,Louisiana Seafood Gumbo. Entree: Choice of one per guest: Fresh fish, Petite Fillet,NY Strip Steak (12oz),Roasted Free-Range Stuffed Chicken,Sizzling Blue Crab Cakes. Sides, 2 to share:Steamed Broccoli,Sauteed Mushrooms,Broiled Tomatoes,Creamed Spinach, Potatoes Au Gratin,Garlic Mashed Potatoes, Julienne Potatoes,Sweet Potato Casserole(my fav.),Ziti& Cheese.
Dessert: Choose one to share: Bread Pudding,Berries and Cream,Cheesecake,Ice cream, Sorbet,Apple Crumb Tart,Chef's Chocolate Selection.
I thought that was a pretty good selection and a good price. I'll let you know how how it is.

Also- tomorrow is delivery day for my fresh organic produce from Farm Fresh To You. It's kind of like waiting for Christmas to see what goodies you will be getting. I'll let you know.
