Sue has an auto-immune disease which is attacking her lungs so we thought while she could we would take a drive up to Reno and have a nice dinner. She loves steaks and Charlie Palmer has the best steaks also the restaurant is the least distance from the front door. Plus The Grand Sierra has plenty of lounges and seating so I thought that would be good for her if she needed to rest. I guess the altitude was too much for her even with her oxygen, she just wasn't doing well. We all took turns sitting with her until she got some of her energy back. After periodic rest stops she played the slots for a bit along with the rest of us until we went to dinner. I wish she felt better so she could have really enjoyed the meal which as always was delicious. Here are a few pictures:
French Onion soup
Heirloom Tomatoes 4 ways
Prosciutto wrapped Pork Tenderloin with Polenta Fries
Kansas City Rib -eye
We also had sides of Potato Au Gratin, Fries, Creamed Spinach and Sauteed Mushrooms. Everyone had a great time and loved dinner. I hope Sue enjoyed it as much as we did. We were too full for desert, isn't that amazing? Even though Sue wasn't feeling well and we were really concerned about her welfare we were really glad we had the chance to take her for a great meal. We are hoping that we will be able to get together again soon and do another dinner or something else that Sue would like to do. We are always so busy with our own lives that it's really nice that we can find time to get together with great friends.
