BIRTHDAY DINNER AT RAVENOUS CAFE

I finally got to try Ravenous Cafe located at Pocket Rd/Greenhaven Dr. We got together there for our (Mare,Sue,Chris and me) birthdays. Ravenous was wonderful. We started with salads and an appetizer of Grilled Halumi cheese,arugula,roasted tomatoes and balsamic vinegar on a baguette. I could have made a whole meal of this. It had such a great flavor. Nance,Chris and Mare had the Mixed lettuce salad w/balsamic vinaigrette, dried fruit and Marcona almonds. Sue and I had the Blue Cheese mixed greens with garlic croutons and red onions. I don't like frisee so this was not my favorite salad but the flavor of the blue cheese dressing was good as well as the other greens. For our entrees I had the Halibut special which was very good. Mare had the grilled chicken, Nance the paparedelle and Sue and Chris had the Hanger steak w/ chimichuri, I got a bite of that, it was delicious. Everyone loved their dinner and desert was Myer lemon cheesecake for Nance and I, a flourless chocolate cake for Mare and Nance and Chris got the Macarons.. little meringue cookies with a dark dense chocolate filling w/ice cream. Of course all the deserts were delicious. Everyone thought Ravenous was very good and I'm sure we will be back again soon.. I will anyway. Grilled Halumi appetizer

I only got pictures of the appetizer and salad course. Once the entrees got to us we totally forgot about pictures as we all commented on now good our dishes were. Besides I think desert is the most important part of the meal.

AFTER THE GYM.. RENDEZVOUS..oops..RAVENOUS CAFE

I actually made it to the gym tonight, finally. We have been wondering if the space vacated by Plan B had been filled yet. It has it is now called Rendezvous..nope I goofed it is called the Ravenous Cafe and it was packed, people waiting outside. The menu is similar to what Plan B had. We saw a couple of people we knew inside so went in to say hello and they said everything on the menu has been good. It sure smelled good in there. We will have to go try it soon maybe a weeknight when it might not be so busy.
And you thought this was going to be about the gym... HA!
