SNICKERS PIE

This is a yummy easy pie recipe that I found in one of Paula Deen's cookbooks

4 king size snickers bars (cut into pieces)
1/2C peanut butter
2Tbs milk (or half and half)
2 tubs Cool Whip
graham cracker crust

in a double boiler combine the snickers bars, peanut butter and milk. Stir until melted and combined. Cool the mixture a few minutes then fold into the Cool Whip combine well, pour mixture into the crust. Freeze for 2-4 hours then let it thaw before serving in the refrigerator ( I think it would be good served frozen too). Garnish with more Cool Whip (optional) and a drizzle of chocolate syrup. I had left over ganche so I drizzled that over the top. This got rave reviews.
Just a side note: I couldn't believe how expensive candy bars are now!! Luckily for me CVS had them on sale buy one get one free.. saved at least 4 bucks. Gee, I remember when candy bars were 10 cents.. back in the stone age.

Love how quick and easy this pie is not to mention how tasty it sounds! I yes I remember 10 cent candy bars. We use to go to the liquor store and trade in 3 coke bottles @3 cent each and a penny to get a candy bar. That was a looong time ago. hehe
