We went to our good old standby Bandera tonight. We had the grilled artichoke..they have the best! I had the rotisiery chicken and Charlie had the prime rib.
For some reason they started puting an enchilada sauce on the chicken unless you ask for them to leave it off. I always have them leave it off, it just doesn't do anything for the chicken. My chicken was done perfectly but it wasn't hot. Lately I haven't had good luck ordering chicken. It tasted good but it would have been better hot. I didn't send it back. Charlie had the prime rib which he said he liked better than the one he had at Flemmings Steakhouse. That's pretty good.
It was done rare like he likes it and Bandera does have really good prime rib. Plus they will give you bones for your dog. Our dogs know when we come home with a "doggie" bag from Bandera that they are going to get a treat.. they go nuts. We ended the meal with their Oreo Cookie Sunday. Vanilla ice cream discs topped with ground oreo cookies so it looks like an ice cream sandwich. Sitting on a pool of chocolate sauce and topped with whipped cream. YUM!
Other than my chicken which actually tasted good just not hot enough..everything was good as usual. The place was packed which is great for a Sunday. Most places are pretty empty on Sunday evenings. I think it's because the food is consistantly good and so is the service.
